This course discusses personal protective equipment and the different tools used during a mold inspection process. Furthermore, the course will detail what to inspect, how to access it, and how to sample mold if observed. Last, you will learn how to interpret the results of laboratory testing.
This half-day refresher course is a review of key information regarding regulatory and legislative changes. Students are encouraged to participate actively in the classroom discussions and bring their knowledge and experiences into the class learning activities.

The NIOSH 582 Equivalency Course includes the setup, calibration and use of the Phase Contrast Microscope (PCM) to evaluate air-borne Asbestos Samples as well as some statistics and sampling-related mathematics.

Meets the Department of Public Health (CDPH) requirements for Lead-Related Construction Supervisor/Project Monitor training. Students learn lead abatement practices and how to select the proper abatement action under different conditions.
