COURSE DESCRIPTION

Those seeking to be licensed as inspectors must complete this three-day course. Training includes a written examination of 50 multiple-choice questions. A passing score of 70 % and above on the multiple choice examination are necessary for the completion of the course.

The course addresses: asbestos background and health effects, qualifications and role of inspectors, legal liabilities, building systems, pre-inspection planning and review of previous records, inspecting for friable and non-friable ACBM, assessing the condition of ACBM, bulk sampling, air monitoring, personal protective equipment, inspection medical monitoring, relevant state, federal and local regulations, record keeping, contract specifications, building walk-through, course review and manual.
